If you read my review on Simple Solutions Training Potty Pads you will see that I was not at all impressed with them. However, I hold down my current Nature's Miracle Quick Results Training Pads using the Simple Solution Training Pad Holder. This holder fits most potty pads. If you have a problem with shredded potty pads, then you may want to consider investing in a holder.
The Simple Solution Training Pad Holder is not cheap. It is a very simple design made of plastic strips. Although this product is very inexpensive to produce, you can expect to pay around twenty dollars at Petco or PetSmart for this product. If you are currently getting by without a holder then it may not be worth the investment. However, if you have patty pads strewn around the house or shredded to pieces then this product may be exactly what you need.
Most training potty pads are tear resistant. However, this feature is defeated somewhat if your pet is given an opportunity to fling the pad around and get to the bottom of the pad, which is not a resistant to tears. Taping the pads to the floor may work, but leaves a sticky mess on the floors. I did not have any success with the taping method, my puppy figured out how to rip the pad up anyway.
